Programs
Three ways we work
Each program answers a different part of the same problem: land under pressure, communities without a buffer, and policy without teeth.
Forest & Land Defense
We track deforestation, illegal logging, and land grabs across mangrove and forest reserves, and turn that documentation into cases regulators and courts can act on.
- Satellite and ground-based monitoring of high-risk zones
- Legal support for communities contesting land seizures
- Public reporting on logging and mining concessions
Community Resilience
We work with coastal and farming communities to prepare for the changes already underway, not just the ones still coming.
- Early-warning networks for flooding and drought
- Training in climate-adapted farming and fishing practices
- Small grants for community-run adaptation projects
Policy & Accountability
We track the environmental commitments West African governments and companies have already made, and campaign publicly when those commitments stall.
- A public tracker of regional climate and land-use pledges
- Briefings for journalists and regional lawmakers
- Coalition campaigns on specific enforcement failures
